Hamsters
Hamsters.. I know how unfamiliar it comes to some people who didn't feed a hamster before but I must say that it's not that weird. Last year, as I was taking a walk around the pet shops, I decided to buy a hamster. Before I came to Ankara, I was feeding my cat in our garden in my hometown and when I came here, I felt the need of having a pet so I decided to buy a hamster which appealed to me as the most suitable pet for feeding in a dormitory. I started to search for a hamster which is small like 1 month old and pretty, but the ones I found were all crazy hamsters attacking to us and each other. The moment I was about to give up searching, I came across to my little beautiful hamster Artist. She was just one month old(which is enough for a hamster to be called mature) and very sympathetic. I took her with my naked hands, she didn't bite me like any other hamster and she just sniffed my smell. I left her to her cave because it wasn't going to be easy to look after her in my dormitory and went out of the pet shop. I went to shopping etc. then half an hour later, I went to that pet shop and bought her because I couldn't resist to have her! Thanks God I bought her because she became one of my best friends in Ankara. I wanted her to live a beautiful life so I bought a husband to her. They had four children two of which I sold and two of which I promised to give my friends. However, my friends didn't have chance to take them due to some reasons so I had to look after both Artist and her two children. Everything was okay so far but a problem occurred like a surprise pregnancy! One of Artist's children was male so he made her mother(Artist) pregnant because in a family of hamster there is no respect for each other! I said okay, we can look after this new surprise baby because it was only one baby thanks to Artist's old age but... Something happened again and this boy(Artist's son) made his sister pregnant also! This time we weren't that lucky because this young lady gave birth to six little babies! We had ten hamsters in my home! My parents were so irritated with this situation so when babies gave up breast feeding, I sold them all to a pet shop except for Artist. I couldn't leave Artist because she was my little baby still :) She is still living in my hometown, my merciful mother takes care of her but the longest time a hamster lives is said to be one and a half year and now my Artist can be called very old. Anyway she is still okay and energetic like her species is called ''Gonzales'' from speedy Gonzales. I advice everyone to feed a hamster but they should be kept away from each other. Otherwise these surprises may occur to you also :)

Mine Vaganti (Serseri Mayınlar)
I first heard about this movie two years ago while watching a cultural program of CNN. MINE VAGANTI (LOOSE CANNON -in Turkish- SERSERİ MAYINLAR). This movie is an Italian comedy, drama and romance movie. So far everything is okay but something attracted me about this movie. Its director is a Turkish man. It's not just an Italian movie so I decided to watch it and I didn't regret because while watching the movie, the pronunciation of Italian appealed to me. Also, I liked the actor Riccardo Scamarcio(Tommaso) and started to watch his other films. As I continued to watch, I decided to learn Italian and as the second foreign language I choose Italian in my department. If we come to movie, its plot is about an conservative Catholic Italian family which has been operating its own pasta factory since 1960s. There is a grandmother called ''the loose cannon of the family'' who gives beautiful messages about life throughout the movie, a father who is a little bit strict and minding what other people think about his family, a peaceful wife and two gay brothers. The problem in this movie is about these brothers' sexual preference. The family -except the grandmother- doesn't want to accept their sons' situations and then following events come. The sons expect their family to accept them as they are but it's hard for such a family. This plot is like a Turkish culture-based plot because there would be almost no one among Turkish people who would like their children to be heterosexual. I find this movie little bit funny, a bit sad but meaningful. At the end of the movie, Sezen Aksu's song ''Kutlama'' is placed in a scene of wedding-like celebration so it's called as a present to Turkish people. To summarize, the flow of this movie is little bit slow but the story is worth watching...

TRANCE MUSIC
In this article I want to talk about Trance music, its most favorite DJ and its effect on people. As you can understand while listening the example I shared here, Trance music is a kind of electronic dance music including ambient and house music. It has been popular since the 1990s and became the indispensable music of night clubs. Its one of the favorite DJs around the world is with no doubt Tiesto. On the top of this article, I shared one of my favorites of his songs ''Adagio for Strings'' he is really talented in this music no matter he is not quite young any more. It's sure that Trance music is one of the most beautiful and popular musics in this era, but there is a dark side of the medal. Trance music is very suitable kind of music to make people unconscious and senseless that's why it is used in night clubs where people go to forget their problems and enjoy life but it's not that innocent every time. With the effect of too much alcohol, some people almost lose their minds and do the things they wouldn't do if they were not drunk in this night clubs and Trance music is a very helpful tool to do it. It makes people's minds confused with the help of extensive amount of alcohol and great atmosphere. As I remember seeing in the news on TV, after one of Tiesto's concerts there were some irritating scenes where people are naked and having relationships with each other. I must mention that Tiesto is very talented in his job but Trance music's main aim is to make people have a trance, its name is that. To sum up, if we don't act carefully, this beautiful music type can show us its dark side.
